Lilien Communications was founded in 1995 as a global communications consultancy for C-suite executives and their direct reports. Its founder, Robert D. Lilien, believed that anyone can become an effective communicator through interactive coaching, concrete and practical skills, frequent practice, and confidence-building. His mission and approach continue to serve as the firm’s foundation today.

Copie Harris

Copie Harris is Principal of Lilien Communications, LLC, a global communications skills company. She consults with executives worldwide throughout Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Australia, South America, and the United States.

For over 25 years as a communications skills consultant and strategist, Copie has worked with executives, academics, research analysts and portfolio managers to clarify and deliver their message effectively to their audiences. She also helps non-profit organizations, including One To World (onetoworld.org) and New York Police and Fire Widows’ & Children’s Benefit Fund (answerthecall.org).

Copie’s expertise lies in not only identifying communications challenges and offering strategies but also putting people at ease so they are open to accepting and embracing new ways of approaching people and situations. A keen listener and articulate communicator, she serves as a strong role model and knowledgeable resource.

Before joining Lilien Communications in 1995, Copie was a faculty member at Communispond, Inc., a leading business communications skills training company. There she worked with individuals and groups of all levels and backgrounds to hone their interpersonal skills and messaging. Earlier she was president and co-founder of an international mail order business, Kids at Large, which manufactured and distributed clothes for overweight children. Her experience overseeing this business—from raising venture capital to serving as spokesperson—informs much of her training.
